I don’t do senior pictures, but if I did… they would look something like this

Monday, August 30th, 2010

I love it when my family can come to town. It’s hard for us to make many trips to visit them since Aleksi doesn’t like to spend too much time in the car. So when they came down a few months ago, my little sister, who is a senior in high school this year, wanted some senior pictures taken. Just to make sure everyone knows… I don’t specialize in senior portraits, but when you’re as good as I am behind a camera, you can photograph pretty much anything people need. Since she’s family, I made an exception. We actually started out at Riverside Park. We planned on spending some quality time as a family grilling out. On our way to the park, it started pouring rain. Luckily the park has a pavilion with grills underneath. It’s not the most ideal setting to grill, but we had tons of fun and it’ll be something I’ll always remember. After we finished eating hot dogs and brats, the rain had stopped. We went out and took a few photos. I wanted to be sure that we made it to downtown Searcy before the sun dropped too far over the horizon, so we left Riverside and headed toward the square. Once we got there, it was a little darker than what I was hoping for, but that’s fine because I’ll bust out some killer pictures in any situation. We ended up shooting for a couple hours. Time seemed to fly by and we kept getting some great images. Julie did great in front of the camera.

One of my secrets to keeping portrait sessions light is to talk A LOT. I also try to be funny. Key word being “try”. Julie seemed to think I was funny, but then again, she could have been laughing out of sympathy for my exceptionally horrible jokes. My wife can probably vouch for the fact that I pretty much have the cheesiest jokes ever.

Once again, if you’re looking for a senior photographer, you can message me if you’d like, but I’ll recommend some other photographers to you. If, however, you’re looking for an incredibly talented wedding photographer, I’m your man! Just check out Julie’s photos below and be sure to send me a message on my Contact page. I’ll be sure to respond to you very quickly.

A Wedding as Big as Texas – Stonebriar Country Club Frisco, TX

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010

We love to travel. My wife especially loves traveling to Texas. I won’t lie… I like going to Texas too; especially if I get to go shoot a wedding as awesome as Kristen and Nick’s with my boy Eli from Eli Murray Photography. Their ceremony was at the world famous Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, TX. I hope you enjoy the photos half as much as I enjoyed taking them. If you’re planning your wedding in Texas, or anywhere else for that matter, remember that I DO travel and would love to shoot another wedding at this location. Just send me a quick message on my contact page and we’ll chat.

This next photo was fun to photograph. It was completely the idea of the groomsmen. They wanted to do their own version of the Wall Street poster.

Orange Crush Wedding in El Dorado

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

My good friend, Eli, shot a wedding down in El Dorado, Arkansas and asked if I wanted to come along. I always love helping out whenever I can. Not only are weddings a fun way to meet new people, but I just plain LOVE photographing them! Patrick and Courtney were such a fun couple. Photography was very important to them, so they were more than happy to have a little extra fun shooting photos. Check out their Orange and Grape Crush glass bottles they had at the reception. One of my favorite things though, was that Courtney’s bouquet was homemade. They got flowers from all over their neighborhood to create it. What a memorable idea for a wedding! I’ll quit talking and let you enjoy the wedding photographs…Groom putting on tuxedoHomemade bouquette for weddingOne excited bridal portraithomemade bouquette picturegroom waiting in anticipation to see bride

You can feel the tension growing as Courtney slowly glides closer to Patrick, her groom, waiting with fists clinched in anticipation, for his bride to tap him on the shoulder for his first gaze of his bride-to-be in her alluring white dress.
